Kansai International Airport Terminal, Osaka (in project) The construction of airports has traditionally been a task entrusted to engineers, but lately the architectural design of the buildings and their visual image are also being valued as true gateways of communication of each city with the rest of the world.
Kansai International Airport is located on an artificial island, specially built in Osaka Bay. The shape of the roof of the terminal arises from a long work on the dynamic lines of the air flows circulating in the building. It has been designed to convey air from the passenger side to the track side without requiring the use of closed conduits.
Design. Architectural style and sea wall erection. The architectural style of the Kansai International Airport reflects the norms of the high-tech architecture movement that was predominant in the twentieth century, and Renzo Piano was one-of-the-note-worthy architects who were a part of it.
