1 Ιαν 2022 · The HealthWave program of capitated managed care was developed to provide comprehensive health coverage for low income children and families across the state of Kansas.
The IM-3100 application is also acceptable for accessing the HealthWave Program. The HealthWave Program takes effect January 1 and changes to Medicaid policy which have been made as a result of this new program also take effect on that date.

Public health insurance coverage is available through three primary programs; Medicaid, SCHIP (or HealthWave 21) and MediKan, as well as sev-eral smaller targeted programs.
The HealthWave and HealthConnect Kansas programs have ended, and all of those services are now provided through the KanCare health plans. KanCare health plans are required to coordinate the different types of care a consumer receives.
