This Kit Is Designed for 1.8L Converted from NA to Turbo (Top Mount) Application. Kit Fits Stock Bumper Support. But Need to Drill a Hole on the Driver Side Fender, See Picture Below. 2.5" Piping Kit, 2.75" Turbo Intake Pipe. Fits 2" Turbo Outlet. Application: - Chassis: 94-99 Miata. - Engine: 1.8L. - Turbo: Top Mount T3 with Internal WG.
This kit has every bolt and nut to turbocharge your miata and it can be installed by a hobbyist with simple hand tools over a weekend. No hassle with tuning, just install and go. Even if you do decide you would like more power down the road, this would be a great kit to build upon.
8 Μαρ 2010 · Use a 97-98 BP Protege (1.8) motor. It has a crankshaft that is 10lbs lighter than a Miata 1.8 crank and rev's nicer than a 1.6. It is coolant reroute ready. It makes more torque than the miata 1.8 and has very nice power/torque curve (highest lift BP cams). I have both 1.6 and a 98 Protege swap, both in '90 cars. The 1.8 swap it twice as much fun.
This kit was designed with aftermarket ecu's in mind and for use with a map sensor. This kit includes the proven ISR RST25/28 turbocharger for a complete bolt on setup. This setup has made 210 rwhp on 8psi of boost on a completely stock BP 1.8 engine.
