Future studies could target the efficacy of novel treatment modalities (i.e., autologous fat grafting or stem cell-based therapies) for keloid management. This review article provides updated treatment guidelines for keloids and discusses insight into management to assist patient-focused, evidence-based clinical decision making.

Ear keloids are among the most challenging plastic surgery conditions and may have significant psychosocial impact for the patient. Their aesthetic considerations are serious and despite a variety of treatment options, they often proved to be recurrent. This paper reviews the management options of ear keloids available in literature up to date.
8 Δεκ 2020 · Medical History. A 23-year-old Asian-origin young male came after a long period of keloid of the left ear, secondary to a minor trauma during childhood. The patient was treated by three sequential surgical excisions followed by a recurrence, the last one being followed by YAG laser.
