3 Ιουν 2021 · Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is located within the proclamation boundaries of the Daniel Boone National Forest, around 30 minutes southwest of Corbin, Kentucky. Driving time from Lexington is a little under two hours.
Home to the renowned Cumberland Falls, often revered as the “Niagara of the South,” this 68-foot tall, 125-foot wide waterfall cascades over a boulder-rich gorge. It also features the rare moonbow, a lunar rainbow created by the light of a full moon – one of only two in the world.
Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is a park located just southwest of Corbin, Kentucky, and is contained entirely within the Daniel Boone National Forest. [3] The park encompasses 1,657 acres (671 ha) and is named for its major feature, 68-foot-tall (21 m) Cumberland Falls.
The scenic waterfalls of Kentucky are as majestic as it gets, and Cumberland Falls is the grandest of them all. Measuring approximately 68 feet tall and 125 feet wide, this impressive waterfall has earned its moniker of “the Niagara of the South.”
