Kenyatta J. Johnson (born October 30, 1973) [2] is an American politician who has served as president of the Philadelphia City Council since 2024. A member of the Democratic Party , he has represented the second district on the Council since 2012.
Kenyatta and his wife Dawn live in Point Breeze with their sons and their dog, Sasha Blu.
He is married to Dawn Chavous, and father to sons Isaiah Mandela and Elijah Kwame.
