Google Maps shows it's an easy 6 minute drive (2.9 miles). Freshfields Village is right at the traffic circle where you turn for Kiawah. Beachwalker Park beach access with picnic tables, bathrooms, and parking is right down the road.
Kiawah Island boasts 10 miles of pristine beach and is comprised of two areas commonly referred to as East Beach and West Beach. Behind the gate, many private beach accesses are available to property owners, their guests, and renters.
Beachwalker is the only part of Kiawah's beach with life guards, restrooms, and snack bar in summer. From the park, you can walk west along Captain Sam's Spit, experiencing a truly unspoiled section of beach, to view the Kiawah River inlet between Kiawah and Seabrook.
