The park is operated through a cooperative agreement between Kiawah Development Partners, Charleston County Council, and the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission.
Beachwalker is the only part of Kiawah's beach with life guards, restrooms, and snack bar in summer. From the park, you can walk west along Captain Sam's Spit, experiencing a truly unspoiled section of beach, to view the Kiawah River inlet between Kiawah and Seabrook.
