The prophet Hud, in a Persian illustrated Stories of the Prophets. This is a brief summary of Hud's narrative, with emphasis on two particular verses: The people of ʿĀd were extremely powerful and wealthy and they built countless buildings [19] and monuments to show their power.
31 Αυγ 2009 · Hud said to his people, “O my people, worship God, you have no other God but Him”. (Quran 11:50). Hud belonged to the ancient civilization known as Aad , and its capital city is believed to have been the fabled city of Ubar, known in Quran as Iram.
Prophet Hud (may peace be upon him) called his people to worship Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) exclusively and renounce all other forms of worship. He implored his people to question the rationality of worshiping gods created using their own hands.
19 Οκτ 2007 · This prophet was Hud , a noble man who handled his task with great resoluteness and tolerance. Ibn Jarir reported that he was Hud Ibn Shalikh, Ibn Arfakhshand, Ibn Sam, Ibn Noah .
26 Απρ 2024 · Everybody believed that Hud (AS) was crazy, mocked him, and accused him of hurting their ‘Gods’. Then, a drought struck the area and cracked the land. No drop of rain and people’s heads were on fire. Hud (AS) asked the people to believe in Allah and that he would bring rain but they laughed at him.
29 Δεκ 2012 · “O Hud, you have not brought us clear evidence, and we are not ones to leave our gods on your say-so. Nor are we believers in you. We only say that some of our gods have possessed you with evil.” (Qur’an 11:53-54)
Allah wanted to guide and discipline these people so He sent a prophet from among them. This prophet was Hud 'alayhis-salam, a noble man who handled this task with great resoluteness and tolerance. Ibn Jarir reported that he was Hud ibn Shalikh ibn Arfakhshand ibn Sam ibn Noah 'alayhis-salam.
