Hud is referred to in the Baháʼí Faith as a Prophet who appeared after Noah and prior to Abraham, who exhorted the people to abandon idolatry and practice monotheism. His endeavors to save His people resulted in their "willful blindness" and His rejection.
Prophet Hud (may peace be upon him) called his people to worship Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) exclusively and renounce all other forms of worship. He implored his people to question the rationality of worshiping gods created using their own hands.

19 Οκτ 2007 · Hud and his people waited for Allah's promise. A drought spread throughout the land, for the sky no longer sent its rain. The sun scorched the desert sands, looking like a disk of fire which settled on people's heads. Hud's people hastened to him asking: "What is that drought, Hud?"
