Hud is referred to in the Baháʼí Faith as a Prophet who appeared after Noah and prior to Abraham, who exhorted the people to abandon idolatry and practice monotheism. His endeavors to save His people resulted in their "willful blindness" and His rejection.
26 Απρ 2024 · Prophet Hud was sent to guide the people of ‘Ad, a tribe that worshipped idols. He called his people to worship Allah, but they refused to listen and continued their idolatrous ways. The people of ‘Ad were destroyed by a fierce wind that lasted for seven nights and eight days.
19 Οκτ 2007 · Hud tried to speak to them and to explain about Allah's blessings: how Allah the Almighty had made them Noah's successors, how He had given them strength and power, and how He sent them rain to revive the soil. Hud's people looked about them and found they were the strongest on earth, so they became prouder and more obstinate.
Prophet Hud (may peace be upon him) called his people to worship Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) exclusively and renounce all other forms of worship. He implored his people to question the rationality of worshiping gods created using their own hands.
25 Οκτ 2023 · Renowned Islamic scholar of the 14th. century Ibn Kathir, reports that Ibn Jarir also claims that Hud was a descendant of Noah. Sent by God to his brethren, Prophet Hud spread the message that God is One and to worship Him alone. It was the same message spread by all the Prophets of God.

Some traditions claimed that Hud (PBUH) was the first person who spoke Arabic while others claimed that Noah (PBUH) was the first. It was also said that Adam was the first. Hud (PBUH) condemned idol worship and admonished his people.
