Hud is referred to in the Baháʼí Faith as a Prophet who appeared after Noah and prior to Abraham, who exhorted the people to abandon idolatry and practice monotheism. His endeavors to save His people resulted in their "willful blindness" and His rejection.
Prophet Hud (may peace be upon him) called his people to worship Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) exclusively and renounce all other forms of worship. He implored his people to question the rationality of worshiping gods created using their own hands.

However, they were under the leadership of a dictator and were worshipping Allah as well as other creatures. Then, Allah sent to Earth, Prophet Hud (p.b.u.h) to guide these people to His path.
19 Οκτ 2007 · Hud tried to speak to them and to explain about Allah's blessings: how Allah the Almighty had made them Noah's successors, how He had given them strength and power, and how He sent them rain to revive the soil. Hud's people looked about them and found they were the strongest on earth, so they became prouder and more obstinate.
10 Αυγ 2022 · Prophet Hud – The number of people from the Ad nation Ad was increasing, Allah sent them Hud as a prophet. Hud’s duty (pbuh) was extremely heavy. The nation was urged to be believers in the Oneness of Allah first, and then in worship Him.
