14 Φεβ 2024 · California law requires a person who desires to carry a concealed weapon in public to obtain a Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) license. This license may be issued by a sheriff of a county, or the police chief or other head of a municipal police department of any county or city.
Please review Penal Code sections 26150 through 26170 and 26220 and consult your local licensing authority (i.e., county sheriff or police department) to determine which type of CCW license you may be eligible to apply for. For how long is a CCW license valid?

8 Οκτ 2017 · The basic qualifications for a CCW license aren’t too bad, from an objective standpoint. You’ll need to apply for a license from your local sheriff’s department. To qualify for a CCW license, you must: Be a resident of the county where you are applying; Be 21 or older; Provide a “good cause” for why you should be issued a license;
13 Νοε 2024 · Openly carrying loaded or unloaded firearms in public is generally prohibited in California. However, the sheriff of any county with a population under 200,000 people, or the chief of police of a city within that county, may issue licenses to carry a loaded, exposed handgun.
