All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you and adhere to the following requirements: Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 21.5in x 10in x 13.5in/55cm x 25cm x 35cm (length x width x height) Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage: 26 lb/12 kg.
Make sure you can bring your carry-on luggage with you on board your KLM flight by checking the maximum dimensions, weight and size for your cabin baggage.
You can bring your musical instrument on board with you if it has the size of a regular hand baggage item, it’s properly packed, and it can fit in the overhead compartment of our aircraft: maximum 55 x 35 x 25 cm and up to 12 kg in Economy Class and Premium Comfort Class, or 18 kg in Business Class.
Oversized baggage is any baggage heavier than 23 kg or larger than 158 cm (sum of length, height, and width) including handles and wheels. You can still fly with oversized baggage, at the excess baggage fee: between EUR 75 and EUR 100 on flights within Europe; between EUR 100 and EUR 300 on intercontinental flights.

In KLM’s Economy Class (Light, Standard, or Flex), you are allowed to bring 1 large piece of hand luggage and 1 small piece. The maximum dimensions for the large hand luggage are 55x35x25 cm and it’s stored in the overhead bins.
