It's best to watch them after you finish the original series, either the manga or up until the Hades OVAs if you choose the anime route. The order is: Evil Goddess Eris, The Heated Battle of the Gods, Legend of the Crimson Youth, Warriors of the Final Holy Battle, Legend of Sanctuary (a retelling of the Sanctuary arc from the original series).
There's some threads on here from the past with the watch order. Unfortunately there's been some licensing issues I think. The Knights of the Zodiac failed really hard in America. ADV did release some dvds and 2 collections (which didn't even cover the entire original series).
Saint Seiya Knights of the Zodiac spans a total of 12 episodes, made into 1 season, but split into 2 parts. Season 2 of the show has already been confirmed, but not yet distributed, which makes this an Ongoing series.
