Norton Labs found several types of scams exploiting the Ukraine conflict, and here is what consumers should keep an eye out for. 1. Donation and Charity Scams.
Before you send any money, check to see if you recognize any of the following signs that you may be a potential victim of a scam: You only know your friend or fiancé online and may never have met in person. Photographs of the scammer show a very attractive person, and appear to have been taken at a professional modeling agency or photo studio.
Try a reverse image search of profile pictures. If the details don’t match up, it’s a scam. Help stop scammers by reporting suspicious profiles or messages to the dating app or social media platform.
