A lot of orchestral/cinematic sample libraries run in Kontakt Player or even require Kontakt. So deciding between Kontakt and Kontakt Player depends on which sample libraries you have or want to get in the future. When it comes to Komplete Kontrol, i use it for browsing through my sounds.
A M6 helicoil tap will have a 1mm pitch but a major diameter of 6mm PLUS the thickness of the insert. Roughly 7.4mm. For smaller inserts you'll need the insertion tool to get the insert into the hole properly.
I can get Kontakt for $125 as I already own a qualifying native instrument product. Is this worth it for a beginner or is there a better alternative for me at this stage? Thanks for any insights.

25 Σεπ 2024 · I'm on Windows 10 and got my Kontakt 8 installed and running with all it's add-ins as well as updates to Komplete Kontrol and the firmware upgrade to my S88MK3 in about 2 1/2 hours. I've been systematically checking the functions and features and they all seem to work perfectly so far.
20 Ιαν 2021 · The simple answer is that using a helicoil allows you to repair a thread while keeping it the same size. Say you have an M8 thread which is completely stripped, you now have an approximately 8mm diameter hole.
According to what I've read on forums, Kontakt 4.1 offers the most comprehensive conversions, but K5 still does a reasonable job at capturing the most crucial aspects — zones, velocity ranges and key mapping.
