Now that Kontakt 6 is out, I'm wondering how people feel about it compared to Kontakt 5. Is it pretty much the same, or have there been any significant changes? Does it affect performance differently? Are there any new modules that you find worthwhile?
I think Omnisphere has a lot more versatility than Kontakt, also Omnisphere can work out of the box without libraries. I'd personally recommend UVI Falcon instead of Omnisphere. But it really depends in what do you need to integrate into your production.
I can get Kontakt for $125 as I already own a qualifying native instrument product. Is this worth it for a beginner or is there a better alternative for me at this stage? Thanks for any insights.
Three new algorithmic reverbs, Plate, Room and Hall, are good foils to the Convolution and legacy types; the Room and Hall offer the additional luxuries of size, time, modulation and diffusion parameters.
