Now that Kontakt 6 is out, I'm wondering how people feel about it compared to Kontakt 5. Is it pretty much the same, or have there been any significant changes? Does it affect performance differently?
I can get Kontakt for $125 as I already own a qualifying native instrument product. Is this worth it for a beginner or is there a better alternative for me at this stage? Thanks for any insights.
If you have Kontakt 7 installed, you get that new factory library, but you keep the factory library that came with Kontakt 6. You’ll have both, but they don’t intersect in one way or another. Hi, I wanted to know if the new factory library is compatible with Kontakt 6. Thanks.
15 Ιαν 2022 · Kontakt is definitely worth it. Get a free or cheap Kontakt Player library, like Embertone Arcane, and you become eligible for a crossgrade at half the price you posted. Currently the full version and crossgrade are the same price for $199 (full discounted 50% from $399 and crossgrade discounted 20% from $249).
According to what I've read on forums, Kontakt 4.1 offers the most comprehensive conversions, but K5 still does a reasonable job at capturing the most crucial aspects — zones, velocity ranges and key mapping.
