Compare species and changes in prevalence, incidence, and mortality over time at multiple spatial scales, from values at the country level to down to the local level.
Malaria is an infectious disease, caused by the parasite “plasmodium” of malaria and is transmitted through the bite of infected mosquitoes of the “Anopheles” genus. Mosquitoes are infected from infectious patients (i.e., patients with parasitemia).

Mapping and plotting of the map were performed using QGIS. Between 2000 and 2007, human malaria contributed 100% of reported malaria and 18–46 deaths per year in Malaysia.
Table 1 presents the reported malaria cases in Greece by epidemiological case classification (imported/ locally acquired), status (immigrants/ travellers) and Plasmodium species. Table 1.
