La Jolla Cove 10-Mile Relay Brought 652 Swimmers to the Beach. Last Sunday, 652 swimmers met at La Jolla Cove at 7 o’clock in the morning. Why wouldn’t they linger in their warm beds instead? They were raising money and awareness for two causes: the American Diabetes Association and the Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego.
