The amount of SNAP a household receives depends on the number of people in the SNAP household and the amount of their net income. The table below shows the maximum SNAP allotments by household size. There are 5 columns in the table.
SNAP participants may also meet the income eligibility guidelines for nutrition services through the Women, Infants & Children Program (WIC) offered by the Louisiana Department of Health. Learn more about WIC and find out if you qualify.

1 Οκτ 2022 · A single-person household will now have a gross monthly income limit of $1,632 (up $52), and a net monthly income limit of $1255 (up $40), while a single-person Broad-Based Categorically Eligible (BBCE) household will now have a gross monthly income limit of $2510 (up $80).
1 Οκτ 2019 · SNAP's income eligibility standards and allowable deductions, which are based on the federal poverty level and adjusted annually based on overall inflation, are increasing. However, standard utility allowances, which are based on the average cost to heat and cool a home, remained the same.
