20 Ιαν 2024 · On the Rambla de Canaletes, the initial stretch of La Rambla near the Plaça de Catalunya, you’ll find one of the best known monuments in Barcelona, the Canaletes Fountain (in Spanish Fuente de Canaletas, in Catalan Font de Canaletes).
La Rambla & Barri Gòtic. The section of La Rambla immediately south of Plaça de Catalunya is named after this inconspicuous turn-of-the-20th-century drinking fountain and lamppost, the water of which supposedly emerges from what were once known as the springs of Canaletes.

Está situada en la parte alta de La Rambla, cerca de la Plaça Catalunya. Es un monumento de hierro compuesto de cuatro surtidores sobre los cuales destaca el escudo de Barcelona culminando en su parte superior con una farola de cuatro brazos.

El font de Canaletes, located at the top of Las Ramblas, is perhaps the most famous fountain in the city. The legend goes that if you drink from it you are condemned to return here ( Aquél o aquélla que beba de su agua volverá a Barcelona) .
