Roxette is a Swedish pop rock duo consisting of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle. The two were already established musicians in Sweden prior to Roxette's formation. The label, Capitol Records, released 6 tracks from the album in the US, under the name ‘Roxette’, because they didn’t like ‘Gyllene Tider’ for the American public.
