1) The hospital may assign disaster responsibilities to volunteer LDPs only when the Emergency Operations Plan has been activated in response to a disaster and the hospital is unable to meet immediate patient needs.
You must meet certain requirements to become a hospital volunteer. Volunteers must complete an application and background check, and meet other requirements to ensure the safety of our patients and a rewarding experience for our volunteers. Below is a listing of some of those requirements.
LAC + USC Volunteer Program. Volunteer at the Medical Center and make a positive impact on patients and staff by assisting with clerical duties, patient support, wayfinding, resource cart services, book and magazine services, and the music program, among others.
