PermitLA is the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) application to obtain online permits* for small projects that do not require plan check. For a list of these permits, click the link Online Permits Informational Bulletin.

Get Your Permit Online. Online Permits are for small projects that do not require plan check. Refer to the Express Permit Information Bulletin PDF to see if your project qualifies for Online Permit. Angeleno Account Login for the LADBS Express Permit and ePlan RTI Portal.
The following services are now only accessible in our new e-Permit system known as PermitLA: 1. Obtain one or more Express Permits including Temporary Special Event Permits. 2. Calculate the fees for an Express Permit. 3. Check the status of an existing e-Permit payment.
The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) Electronic Permit System (e-Permit system) allows for the issuance of a building permit to replace window(s) with the same size, opening type, and location as the existing window(s).
