5 Φεβ 2023 · The relationship between Lagerstroemia floral scent intensity and its components. The sensory evaluation found that L. fauriei (n = 29) was the most fragrant taxon, followed by L. ‘Ning Xiang 3’ (n = 36), L. ‘Tuscarora’ (n = 43), L. ‘Ning Xiang 1’ (n = 38), and L. ‘Ning Xiang 2’ (n = 48).
1 Ιουν 2023 · Our results suggested that it is possible to optimize floral fragrance of Lagerstroemia cultivars by using L. caudata and the hybrids obtained in this study. These findings could be served as the basis for the development of superior plants with unique combinations of ornamental traits.
Throughout the summer, pink, lavender, or white flowers bloom - and in the fall, the foliage can turn shades of yellow to red, depending on the species and variety. They are tolerant of regions with hot summers requiring only infrequent but deep watering.
