21 Ιαν 2024 · Lake Hodges reopened to recreation on May 31, 2023, just two days short of a full year since the lake was closed for the repairs. KAYAK ANGLERS, boat renters and float tubers can really take advantage of the lack of trailered boats to compete with at Lake Hodges. WON PHOTO BY MIKE STEVENS.
Lake Hodges is open for fishing and boating on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday schedule from one-half hour before sunrise to sunset. All rentals must be back in by 5pm. Rental boats are available all three days. Hodges rents rowboats, motorboats, single and double person kayaks. NO OUTSIDE LAUNCHES ALLOWED AT THIS TIME.

The Lake Hodges Park road and parking areas, the Visitor Center, and boating access to the reservoir are only open on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and is closed December through January (during bird nesting season). The Lake Hodges Visitor Center is open Wed, Sat and Sun. It's more of a bait shop, rental and concession stand. Good place to refill water if needed, on a long ride.
