Campground reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance and beach camping reservations 30 days in advance of your stay. All camping is first-come, first-served Sept. 11 to May 19. People camp the beach in the Arthur Bay area at Lake McConaughy State Recreation Area in Keith County.
3 Ιουν 2023 · For a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Lake McConaughy offers breathtaking views and white sand beaches ideal for beach camping. With its pristine white sand beaches stretching along the shorelines, campers can set up their tents or RVs right on the beachfront.
Approximately 500 campground spots and 1,000 designated beach spots (depending on water level) are available at Lake McConaughy and Lake Ogallala. Beach camping is not site-specific. However, a maximum number of campsites will be allowed per designated beach camping area.
About 5 hours away from Omaha and an hour away from the Colorado border sits Lake McConaughy, Nebraska's largest lake. For just $20/night plus a $16 park entrance fee you can drive your car right up on the beach and pitch your tent (or camper) next to the water.
