4 Σεπ 2017 · There are several ways in which a landlord or agent might be in breach of registration requirements and there are cases where immediate recourse to prosecution, removal from the register or a rent penalty notice will be disproportionate, in the first instance.
All private landlords must register with the council unless they are exempt. The council can remove your landlord from the register if they do not behave properly. Check if your landlord is registered and what to do if they are not.
