No problem. I'd recommend windows 10 for it but sure try windows 11, 8gb of ram in 2022 is torture. you'd run into a ram bottleneck with discord, 2 chrome tabs and a game like gta 5 opened immediately. I'll be doing mostly online classes and MS Word/Excel, and researching online.

Windows 10 on idle uses around 13-15% of my 15.8GB usable memory which is around 2.2GB. Windows 11 uses around 18-20%. It's not much for me but it might be for low end machines.

23 Ιαν 2023 · A good place to start in the discussion on whether 8GB of RAM is enough for a Windows PC, is how much RAM the operating system officially requires. In the case of Windows 10, you need at least 2GB of RAM for the 64-bit version, which is the only version anyone should be using at this point!

29 Δεκ 2021 · You may upgrade if you have 4GB of RAM and it might work and according to the Windows 11 requirement 4GB of RAM is supported, take a look at Windows 11 System Requirements (microsoft.com). However, in case you are able to upgrade to 8GB of RAM, it is recommended to do so.
