30 Οκτ 2023 · The right and left superior and inferior laryngeal nerves which are branches of the vagus nerve, the tenth cranial nerve (CN X), provide motor and sensory innervation to the larynx. Each superior laryngeal nerve divides into the internal and external laryngeal nerves .

7 Αυγ 2023 · All the internal muscles of the larynx receive nerve supply from the recurrent laryngeal nerve with the exception of the cricothyroid, which is innervated by the external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve.
4 Σεπ 2023 · These muscles receive their nerve supply from the glossopharyngeal nerve, and their function is to elevate the larynx and the pharynx. The palatopharyngeus muscles stem from the palatine aponeurosis and pterygoid processes and inserts into the thyroid cartilage.
