The International Precipitation Working Group (IPWG) is a permanent Working Group of the Coordination Group for Meteorological Satellites (CGMS), co-sponsored by CGMS and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
This special collection provides a current status of precipitation estimation using satellites, including the modeling of precipitation systems, application of the data products on both regional and global scales, and the validation of estimates at various temporal and spatial scales.
