The Church Educational System (CES) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) consists of several institutions that provide religious and secular education for both Latter-day Saint and non–Latter-day Saint elementary, secondary, and post-secondary students and adult learners.

Latter-day Saints recognize that education is crucial for moral and practical reasons that range from the support and upbringing of their families to participation in broader society. Education is a serious charge for parents who are responsible to provide the necessities of life for their children.
27 Μαΐ 2011 · Where public education is readily available, CES offers seminary and institute programs to supplement secular education with religious teachings. During the 1988-1989 school year, 255,361 high school students participated in seminary, constituting 55 percent of all eligible LDS youth.
