9 Απρ 2019 · Maintanence – break in. RUST. Light rust may easily be removed from the surface of a mould or sprue plate by using very fine steel wool and oil. Care should be taken around the crisp edges of the bullet cavity so as not to round off any corners.

New eighteen cavity Buckshot Molds. Precision-machined mold produces 18 linked pellets per cast. No need to individually count pellets simply snip three strands into your 12 gauge shell. Each cast produces enough pellets to load two 12 Gauge shotshells.
Usually, when molds are up to casting temperature, lead smears and flash can simply be wiped away with a heavy cotton rag, or towel. For more stubborn problems, Eric shared with me using a propane torch and popsicle stick with a touch of beeswax on it to remove lead.
Our American-made Super Buck lead buckshot is swaged for near-perfect spherical shape and is free of sprue marks, flat faces, lines and creases, which are found on lesser quality pellets. Our B.A.M. high-antimony buckshot is made in Spain to strict C.I.P. metric standards.
