18 Ιουν 2015 · I use one of the sharp shooter molds that cast #4 and double 00 buck shot. Same as the link above. To make this mold work the mold has to be very hot. I warm the mold with a propane torch to a high temperature. Once the mold is hot it will cast good buck shot. I wear a pair of thick heavy duty welding gloves when casting with this mold.

10 Δεκ 2020 · Set the mold on top of the lead as it melts. The mold will float on top of the lead and probably be a bit to hot when you use it. The first few bullets might be frosty but that will fall off soon.
7 Δεκ 2020 · You should have the correct wad and usually most buckshot loads, while they don't really require it, use a buffer. This is plastic little fine beads that help produce a better pattern. Pattern is everything when it comes to effective buckshot.
