The two characteristics of shot that change reloading data are shot hardness and density. Shot hardness has a direct effect on chamber pressure. Softer shot produces lower pressure; harder shot raises chamber pressure dramatically. The softest shot type is lead. The hardest shot types are steel and tungsten. Bismuth falls between lead and steel.
11 Ιουν 2020 · Loading buckshot is an exercise in patience, both due to the finicky fit of pellets in the wad and the overall length being right to fold crimp and the low amount of published loading data for any given hull.
7 Δεκ 2020 · I want to use lead shot data to load #1 and #2 buckshot. I will of course use all other components exactly as specified, but because of the shot size, the load would be much lighter than called for (0.6 oz. of #2 buck in place of a 1 1/8 oz. load). I would use Titewad if I were to do this.

2 Σεπ 2022 · The best buckshot data I've found in a manual is in BPIs buckshot manual. I didn't start making good patterning loads though until I found Wade Rush on Bubba Roundtree outdoors and later Roger Adkins.
29 Νοε 2018 · The solution: An adjustable tube to count the pellets. A flask to quickly fill the tube. A guide to keep the two aligned repeatably. The cost <$10. Stuff: A filler: An airsoft bottle for about $4. You may need to ream the opening with a drill bit for your size of shot.
