Key Data Points. Nearly 1 in 10 California high school youth used cannabis in 2022 (9%).1. Among adults, cannabis use was highest among 21–24-year-olds in California in 2022 (29%).2. The California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) developed four data dashboards to display essential licensing, harvest, and sales statistics for the California cannabis industry.
July 14, 2020 – Arrest data released by the California Dept. of Justice show there were 1,181 felony marijuana arrests in California in 2019, down 27% from 2018 (1,617 arrests) and the lowest number since 1954. Hispanics accounted for 493 or 41.7% of felony arrests; Blacks for 263 (22.3%) and Whites for 252 (21.3%).
2 Μαρ 2023 · DCC-led search warrant operations increased from 62 in 2021 to 155 in 2022, a 150 percent increase. DCC also seized over 41,726 pounds of illegal cannabis in 2021 and more than 144,254 pounds in 2022, a 246 percent increase.
