Basically, this book is about the Alpha Legion's "fall" to chaos, and how they manipulate other people and use others to achieve their goal. Really, it's only right at the end when John Grammaticus is taken to their underground base that we really get an idea of the scope of the Legion, and the mystry and intrege as to what the legion are doing ...

I then began the Horus Heresy series, and have churned through the first 7, most recently Legion, about the Alpha company. There is SO MUCH to invest into this book about the overarching theme of the destruction of the universe that I simply had to dive into it here, with all of you.
