Lehigh University hosts various summer programs that are intended to enrich a student's academic experience beyond regular academic courses. The Office of the Registrar does not oversee the registration for summer programs.
With international students and scholars visiting Bethlehem, and programs and courses around the US and the world, Summer at Lehigh puts the world at your doorstep. With some course and program costs starting at less than $1000, Summer at Lehigh is more affordable than you might think. Plus, financial assistance may be available.
Lehigh offers courses across disciplines during two summer sessions each year. The courses are open to Lehigh undergraduate and graduate students, high school students who have completed their junior year (11th grade), and adults who are not presently attending another college or university.
The Summer Institute in Lehigh University’s College of Education offers global students the opportunity to engage with professors and fellow students in an in-person intensive learning environment. The Summer Institute runs from late-June through the end of July every year.
Lehigh University's Summer Engineering Institute (SEI) is a chance for deserving kids to experience the challenge and thrill of science, technology, engineering and math in a cooperative, team-based environment. Topics and projects are drawn from across majors and disciplines.
Enrolling in courses during the summer at Lehigh is a great way to get ahead in your major, add courses for a new minor, or explore an experience not available during the regular fall or spring semesters.

In-person courses are offered in a condensed schedule over 5-9 days with a 2+ day break between each course. Courses have been taught in-person in Bethlehem Pennsylvania, Athens Greece, and other international locations. See Summer Institute News
