13 Απρ 2014 · So conclude my Leica M7 review. The Leica M7 fills a hole in my requirements where I want to shoot something a little less restrictive than many of the fully automatic cameras I often use, but without the addition of stacks of superfluous features.
11 Σεπ 2016 · The M7 is essentially little more than an M3 with a tweaked viewfinder, built-in light metering and electronic shutter control. Looking at the front of the M7, you can see three optical windows – the main viewfinder, a white window that illuminates the framelines, and a smaller window under the shutter-speed dial for the rangefinder.
Is the Leica M7 worth it? The Leica M7 is lesser sought after than the Leica M6, mostly because it contains more electronic parts than the M6’s light meter. But in contrast it offers auto modes and more information in the viewfinder.

The M7 came with an electronic shutter—the first in the Leica M series. The use of an electronic shutter resulted in a more accurate shutter speed.

This is my first rangefinder camera and first leica and has become a very addictive tool that lives up to the capability of Leica's magnificent lenses.
The Leica M7 is a 35 mm rangefinder camera introduced by Leica AG in 2002 as a direct successor to the M6. The electronic Leica M7 is a departure from previous mechanical designs for the M series. The M7 introduced auto-exposure in aperture priority mode: the user sets the aperture on the lens manually, and the camera chooses a shutter speed.
The LEICA M7 is a manual-focus rangefinder, automatic electronic-shutter 35mm full-frame camera. It has both manual and aperture-preferred auto exposure modes and works with all LEICA M lenses and accessories made since 1954.
