Hi everyone, we just bought a LG OLED TV but are seeing this issue: when we try to use AirPlay on our iPhone to project some video on to TV, the TV says “Connected to Device” (as in the photo”, the phone says “This video is playing on [LG] webOS TV OLEDxxxxxx”, but nothing actually plays on the TV.

There are four main reasons why can't LG TV screen mirror, check it if you have made mistakes. Screencasting requires the mobile phone and the TV to be in the same local area network. If the mobile phone uses mobile data and the LG TV is connected to wifi, the screencasting cannot be achieved.

You can connect to it as a wireless display and cast the whole screen, but you can't just cast videos directly from your phone's Chrome browser or from every other app like you can if you have a Chromecast. If you're having trouble screen casting try downloading the LG app.
