Some plants can naturally attract bees and butterflies due to their nectar or pollen, or their color and scent. Select those that continuously bloom throughout the growing season to offer a stable food source for the pollinators. Provide a clean, shallow, and safe water source for bees and butterflies.

Pollinators are essential to many flowering plants’ reproduction. A flower lures an insect, or a bird or even animals such as bats, to it with its sweet nectar meal, and said insect, bird or animal unwittingly becomes the means by which pollen (male sex cells) meets (and fertilises) ovules (eggs, or female sex cells), which then grow into seeds.
Most jujube cultivars produce fruit without cross-pollination. The jujube is well protected from late spring frosts by delayed budding until all chance of cold weather has passed. The fruit is a drupe, varying from round to elongate and from cherry-size to plum-size depending on cultivar.
