  1. Hard clue scrolls can be between four and six clues long, with multiple enemies to defeat and can have high-levelled quest requirements. Elite clue scrolls can be between five and seven clues long, with multiple fights, and puzzles every step.

  2. Map clues are an image of a location the player needs to search to advance along their trail. Maps are found across all clue scroll difficulties. They are rough pictures of a very local area.

  5. Map clues are rough pictures of a location. If the map is marked with an X, you need to take a spade to the place indicated on the map and dig there. A "dig" option can be found by right-clicking the clue; there is no need to bring a spade.

  6. Compass clues can be found on elite and master Treasure Trails. Master clue scrolls will only ever contain compass clues in The Arc; all other locations are found only in elite clues. Digging may spawn a Guthix wizard on elite clues or a cabbagemancer for master clues.
