24 Φεβ 2014 · On December 3 of 1924, The Linfield Review announced the students’ choice of the wildcat as their mascot. Before that, students rooted for the Baptists. Now, the wildcat is one of Linfield’s most iconic symbols along with the red and purple and the acorn.
21 Μαΐ 2015 · It was 125 years ago in April that Emily Loveridge stepped from a train in Portland and by June, she had launched the Good Samaritan School of Nursing, a rich heritage of nursing excellence that continues today.

Linfield established its Portland campus in 1982, when the college entered into an affiliation with Good Samaritan Hospital and began offering a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing.
In the 1960s and ’70s, nursing education underwent a fundamental shift, with a new emphasis on prerequisite courses in the sciences and humanities before practical training, which itself was becoming more advanced and specialized. Most successful nursing programs became affiliated with established universities to handle the new demands.
3 Ιουλ 2024 · Items displayed from the Linfield Archives will include Loveridge’s personal letters, her memoir, vintage nursing uniforms and historical nursing practice implements. The exhibit was funded in part by the Oregon Heritage Commission of the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.
