10 Ιουν 2013 · Most modern Linux distributions should automount the USB drive. If not, you can see what device ID is assigned to the USB drive by running df -h or mount or lsblk. Additionally, syslog can be monitored to find the device ID. On Fedora, CentOS, or RHEL, run sudo tail -f /var/log/messages. On Ubuntu or Debian, run sudo tail -f /var/log/syslog.
4 Answers. Sorted by: 7. This is just to mention that Canonical now recommends the Rufus USB Installer. (I haven't used it myself.) Instructions (copied from the Canonical instructions): Open Rufus and select your USB stick in the 'Device' dropdown.
