I love how Kleypas so vividly captures Christoper’s feelings of horror, isolation, and loss of humanity as he struggles with his PTSD. I love how Beatrix is such an awesome, caring heroine, how she unconditionally loves and accepts him and ultimately helps him to find himself again.

This felt like SUCH a weak romance to me – a lazy attempt to finish the Hathaways. I just read the first in the series and loved it, and the rest sound great, but Love in the Afternoon is absolute fail, in my opinion.
