LIZARD BOY is a rock musical fantasy full of melodic and witty songs. Inspired by works such as X-Men and Spider-Man, it is very timely with a theme that counteracts bigotry and racism, and promotes self-ac-ceptance and self-realization. The musical was recently a big hit at the Edinburgh Festival and in the US and UK.
Lizard Boy follows the story of Trevor, a young man with lizard-like traits who struggles with his identity and place in the world. As Trevor grapples with his past and his unusual abilities, he agrees to meet up with Cary, whom he connected with on Grindr.
Plot. Trevor, a young man with green lizard scales on his skin, sits in his room and laments a failed relationship, attributing the breakup to his scales ("Trevor's Song"). Tired, he takes a nap and dreams of a strange woman singing hauntingly to him ("Overture").
Trevor wants to go back home and hide away forever (“Lizard Boy”), but he finally confronts himself and his own destructive cycle of thoughts and behavior. He realizes that he has been his own obstacle, and vows to change. Instantly, Trevor is transformed—he discovers he now has telekinetic powers, and he moves large objects around him ...

6 Αυγ 2024 · In Lizard Boy, Justin plays Trevor, the title character who has been living the last twenty years as a recluse, covered in dragon scales as a result of being present on the playground where a dragon was killed upon the eruption of the Mount St. Helens volcano.
