12 Ιουν 2019 · Segmental and lobar consolidations are the result of alveolar filling in contrast with lobar or segmental atelectasis, which is the result of alveolar collapse. Atelectasis results in loss of lung volume while consolidation maintains or even increases lung volume.
1 Μαΐ 2021 · The bronchus of the middle lobe (ML) bifurcates into lateral (B4) and medial (B5) bronchi. The lobar bronchus of the RLL branches into five segmental bronchi: superior (B6), medial basal or paracardiac (B7), anterior basal (B8), lateral basal (B9) and posterior basal (B10).
Either a whole lobe or a terminal lobule may be regarded as a broncho-pulmonary segment, depending upon whether a lobar bronchus or a terminal bronchiole is the unit. But, allowing for some minor faults, all previous accounts really depict a common bronchial pattern ( Fig. 1 ).
