1 Μαΐ 2024 · The pulmonary arteries accompany the bronchi on their course towards the periphery and thus there are lobar, segmental and subsegmental branches. Differentiation can be made by tracing the arterial divisions in correlation to the bronchi.
17 Αυγ 2023 · While the functional unit is the capillary-alveoli interface, the lung is divided into segments based on the arborization of the bronchi. The bronchopulmonary segments are the largest functional divisions of the anatomical lobes; each receiving their own air and blood supply.
Skalski M, Lobar and segmental bronchial anatomy. Case study, Radiopaedia.org (Accessed on 03 Nov 2024) https://doi.org/10.53347/rID-23285. The right and left lobar and segmental bronchi are depicted.
The lobar bronchi continue to divide further into segmental bronchi (tertiary bronchi). They are located according to the corresponding bronchopulmonary segments of each lung. A bronchopulmonary segment is a separate anatomical, physiological and surgical unit of the lungs.
30 Οκτ 2023 · After entering the lungs, the bronchi continue to branch further into the secondary bronchi, known as lobar bronchi, which then branch into tertiary (segmental) bronchi. Segmental bronchi continue their branching until they reach the final, sixt generation of bronchi.
